Despite old man winter’s death grip on Minnesota, he has not dampened our entrepreneurial spirit. Minnesota, long considered a fly over state, continues to push the envelope as evidenced several recent actions and pending events.
The $12 million Minnesota Angel Tax Credit has been depleted in less than three months and the Governor is pushing to throw another $4 million into the pot.
Google, which literally defines an entrepreneurial success, selected seven cities for their annual Google Pitch Event that allows start-ups to “pitch” their product. If Google believes the Twin Cities is an entrepreneurial hot bed, then I believe it. Not only were the Twin Cities selected, but two of ten companies selected to go to the nationals finals came from here: Docalytics and Kidizen.
Mobile March celebrated it’s fifth year and with a record number of attendees. SkillFitness presented a workshop at the event, “Is Mobile Technology a Sales Enabler.”
Next week the attention turns to the education industry when EDUTECH 2014 will be held at St. Thomas University. SkillFitness will join six other companies that have developed some highly creative solutions in the Showcase event.
On April 15th MOJO Minnesota joins Mobile Twin Cities for another Showcase event to feature more highly creative solutions that our area has developed. Again SkillFitness will be part of the Mobile Startup Demo event along with three other organizations.
SkillFitness is pleased and proud to be part of the entrepreneurial explosion that is happening here the Twin Cities.
